Here's the standard shot, taken as we were Thursday afternoon.
Then we took a "private school" shot, as the kids called it, with a teacher and studious looking kids.
Finally, we took a homeschool picture because we can laugh at the whole stereotype. There were a few flavors of homeschoolers we could have picked from, but since we don't have any long homemade dresses or matching family outfits, we went with what we could quickly assemble. I found my best Mom-jeans, tucked in a man-shirt, and neglected to put on eye makeup. If I had a scrunchy or banana clip, I would have worn it. Olivia wanted to know if her hair looked stringy enough, and she wore modest jeans under her dress. Michael thought the dress socks with shorts and running shoes were just right. Oh, and I made sure the kids stood in birth order, too. I hate stereotypes- I really do- but I'd rather laugh at what I might get lumped in with than to pretend it doesn't exist!
Happy weekend!
